As a ten month old puppy, Andy was chosen Best In Sweepstakes at the 1996 Greyhound Club of America National Specialty and finished his championship with Breed wins over Specials several years his senior.

When he was only 14 months old he traveled to Germany to stay with the Robert Knauber family of Happy Hunter Greyhounds.  While he waited out the quarantine period until he could go on to Norway with Espen Engh, he attended many shows, won an All Breed Best In Show, sired a litter of beautiful puppies for the Knauber's, and became fast friends with Astrid Knauber.  He accompanied her on walks in the Alps, slept in her room, and seldom left her side.

After eight months in Germany, Andy went to Norway for the next year and a half.  While there he was quite successful in the show ring (gaining many titles and another Best In Show), as a sire, and as a friend to everyone he met.  Andy is very well behaved and quite the gentleman.  He wants to be near his human buddies as often as possible.  He smiles when he is happy, barks to let you know it is time for him to eat, plays with his squeaky toys, and makes you feel like you are the most important, most intelligent person on Earth.  Whenever you talk to him, he cocks his head to one side and really listens.

Andy returned to the States in April, 1999 and recently completed his championship in Canada, making him a champion in seven countries.  Right now he is spending many hours on the couch with his head resting on a great, round, pink bear that he adopted as his own the minute he walked back into the house.

Andy is a lovely, large bodied, deep chested dog with beautiful curves.  He has a soft expression and a gentle spirit.
